South Dakota’s Top Finance Official Placed On Administrative Leave

South Dakota’s Commissioner of the Bureau of Finance and Management has been put on indefinite administrative leave.
Jason Dilges was placed on leave for a personnel matter, Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Chief of Staff Tony Venhuizen confirms to KELOLAND News.
Venhuizen said the reason he was put on leave does not involve criminal allegations or the handling of state funds.
Dilges has been the commissioner of the department since Governor Rounds took office in 2003.
He also worked in the department during the Janklow administration.
Vehuizen said this leave is pending a final decision on his status.
